Hello! Today is my first Christmas holiday day. I can't believe I can relax and do nothing now. Time of hot chocolates, present wrapping, baking gingerbreads and reading has come!
I've been so busy these past weeks I haven't had enough time to write anything here. BUT I'm back, so finally, here comes the post of my first day in Madrid:
One of the first things I saw when I arrived the city was the beautiful botanical garden through its fences. I fell in love with it so I decided I wanted to go there one of the days we were staying there.
And the second thing: the amazing Caixa Forum and our hotel next to it! Caixa Forum is an art exhibitions centre. It's so cool. I'll talk more about it in the next posts of the trip.
This is the lovely autumnal view of the Paseo del Prado we had from our little balcony.
After undoing the luggage we went out for a walk up these streets.
Then we felt hungry and looked for a place to eat something, but it was full everywhere. Finally we ended up eating some sandwiches and salad in Pans & Company.
After it we walked down this streets in the way to El Prado Museum.
We had two lattes before going into the exhibitions.
I haven't got any pictures of the museum, because taking pictures is not allowed.
I felt so in love with Bosch's paintings we went again to the museum the next day. His paintings are just amazing.
The museum closed at seven, and after it we went to our hotel again. In the way we could see the Christmas lights in the streets.
We ate in the hotel's café (the hot chocolate seems awful, but it was delicious, I promise), planned what we would do the next day...
